Parenting is so hard! You try your best, you fail, you ask for wisdom and then you try sone more. Yet the result is still the same, your child still does not want to change.
Most of the time, I am too proud to admit defeat, but this time I truly surrender. I don't have a solution to the problem and I honestly don't know how to help my child.
My child has become a habitual liar. She takes the easy way out by lying. I am very concerned over her behaviour and have counselled her many times to no avail. It has become a habit, she doesn't even think twice before she lies. As long as it is convenient, she'll lie.
God help her. God help me. God help us.

Hi There...I just found you in a random search through the bloggers with "Stay at Home Mum" as their occupation...of which I am one. :)
ReplyDeleteI hear your heart on this one! It seems to me, as I read through some of your posts, that you know the living God and pray to HIM for help! Ahhh...that is the key here! She needs to see herself as God sees her...a sinner in need of a Saviour! How precious that HE hears and answers prayer. I will pray for you right now that the LORD will give you wisdom and strength as you seek to raise your children. Might we all raise them for HIM!
Blessings,
Camille
Hi Camille! Thank you first of all for praying for us! Believe me, we have been praying and talking with my 8 yo girl. My husband, her dad has also talked to her, so has my mom. Sometimes she shows remorse but most times she doesn't. She knows the Word and knows that "if we confess our sins, He will forgive our sins and cleanse us from all our unrighteousness." I personally led her to say the sinners prayer when she was 5! We are quite strict as parents and many times Janine lies to get out of trouble. I guess we'll just have to continue to pray and keep trying.
ReplyDeleteAnd secondly, thank you for taking time to read my humble little blog! I don't really tell people about my blog and I think you must be the 3rd person to read it!
By the way, I love being a stay at home mom and wouldn't have it any other way!
